StageWRITE
ATF's innovative in school outreach program for
middle school students that brings playwrights into the
classroom to guide students in writing plays about their
school subjects. Professional actors are then brought in
to read the scripts aloud in a public reading at the Charles
R. Wood Theater. If you are interested in learning more
about StageWRITE, call us at 518.798.7479. Sponsored in part by
the New York State Council on the Arts.
Teen Apprenticeships
ATF offers two summer apprenticeships for
youth sixteen and up. Under the mentorship of ATF’s new
Producing Artistic Director, Mark Fleischer, the apprentices
will gain knowledge and skills in arts administration.
Apprentices will be active participants in the areas of
marketing, public relations, company management and box office.
Apprentices will be asked to work two days a week in the ATF
office. These apprenticeships are unpaid and require no previous
theatre experience. Interested students are asked to submit a
one page essay outlining why they would like to be an ATF Summer
Apprentice to Mr. Fleischer at
mfleischer@atfestival.org.
