Adirondack Theatre Festival to open 5 & Dime Box Office at the Charles Wood Theater in Glens Falls Monday, June 6 with 5 cent and 10 cent tickets for
THE GIRL IN THE FRAME to first 15 people at the Box Office!

Festival Box Office to be open at Wood Theater for first time this summer

The Adirondack Theatre Festival will move its Box Office into the Charles Wood Theater in Downtown Glens Falls for the first time this summer.   The 5 & Dime Box Office was built at the wish of an anonymous donor to the Wood Theater who wanted to commemorate the buildings former life as a Woolworth 5 & 10 department store.

ATF will open its box office at 12 noon on Monday, June 6 with a special offer to the first fifteen people to visit the box office: 5 tickets to the first five people, and then 10 tickets to the next 10 people to a Wednesday or Saturday evening performance of ATFs opening show, the romantic musical comedy THE GIRL IN THE FRAME.  Tickets are limited to one pair per person.

THE GIRL IN THE FRAME, which wowed audiences in the Boston area last year, is the story of Lanie and Alex, a young couple who are too busy or distracted to get around to marriage after being engaged for three years.  When Alexs idealized woman comes to life, in the form of a stock photo which comes in a new picture frame, the story really gets interesting and hysterical.  Jeremy Desmon, the author and composer of GIRL IN THE FRAME, is a recent graduate of New York Universitys musical theater writing program, where ATFs 2004 musical MIMI LE DUCK also originated.  GIRL IN THE FRAME will be directed by Thomas Caruso who returns after directing MIMI LE DUCK last summer.

ATFs Box Office will remain open at 50 Elm St. 1-5pm through Thursday, June 3 before moving to the Wood Theater and re-opening at noon on June 6.

The Adirondack Theatre Festivals 11th season will run June 22  July 30 at the Charles R. Wood Theater in Downtown Glens Falls.
