A romantic musical comedy, THE GIRL IN THE FRAME features Todd
Ceveris and Stephanie Kurtzuba as the afraid-to-commit couple Alex and
Lanie. At their anniversary dinner they inadvertently give each other
the same gift: a picture frame which comes out of the box with an
idealized stock photo of a beautiful woman, The Girl in the Frame.
As Alex and Laney explore the pitfalls of their relationship, their
fantasies begin to come to life in strange and hilarious ways. Mr.
Ceveriss NYC credits include TWENTIETH CENTURY with the Roundabout
Theatre, THE BOOTH VARIATIONS with the Moonshine Project, and TIME AND
THE CONWAYS with the Epic Theatre Center. Ms. Kurtzuba joins ATF
from her recent television appearances on Law and Order, Flushed on
Showtime, and the Lifetime Televisions premiere of Love, Sex, and Lies.
Her Broadway and Off-Broadway credits include: THE BOY FROM OZ,
starring Hugh Jackman; BAT BOY, THE JOYS OF SEX; and most recently, the
Drama Desk nominated NEWSICAL at Studio 54. Alex and Laneys
fantasies as well as multiple other characters are played by Vicki Van
Tassell whose most recent role was Honey in Syracuse Stages production
of WHOS AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOLFE?, and Victor Wallace, the original Sky
in the Las Vegas production of MAMMA MIA!.
Thomas Caruso returns to ATF after directing last summers successful
production of the spoof musical MIMI LE DUCK, which went on to play at
the Fringe Festival in New York City. His recent credits include,
directing Arthur Millers latest play, RESURRECTION BLUES, at the Key
West Playwrights Companys Inaugural Gala starring James Naughton and
Mary McCormack. On Broadway, Caruso was the Associate Director for both
BOMBAY DREAMS and the musical revival of FOLLIES by Stephen Sondheim and
James Goldman. He directed the national tour of MASTER CLASS by Terrence
McNally, starring Charlotte Cornwell of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Additionally Caruso is the resident director of MAMMA MIA in Las Vegas.
