regional premiere of

BOMB-ITTY OF ERRORS
A hip-hop musical comedy version of Shakespeare’s
COMEDY OF ERRORS

ATF Box Office now open at the Wood Theater 12-6pm MON-SAT.

The Adirondack Theatre Festival will continue with its second offering, BOMB-ITTY OF ERRORS, a contemporary musical version of William Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors. BOMB-ITTY OF ERRORS was an Off-Broadway hit in 1999-2000, and ATF’s production marks the first regional production being done since the original creators mounted the show in Chicago, Florida, and Edinburgh.

The BOMB-ITTY OF ERRORS was one of the first theatrical productions to use hip-hop, pioneering a growing hip-hop theater movement which now includes productions such as DEF POETRY JAM on Broadway and the Hip-Hop Theater Festival currently being presented in New York City.

Opening July 6 (preview on July 5), BOMB-ITTY OF ERRORS features a talented cast of four young actors Jason Babinsky, Omar Evans, Benton Greene, and Jake Mosser. Benton Greene. Jason Babinsky has appeared at Paper Mill Playhose and North Shore Music Theater, and will appear in HELLO DOLLY at the Hangar Theater in Ithaca following his stint in Glens Falls. Omar Evans has appeared in films including Carlito’s Way: Rise to Power and Spike Lee’s Bamboozled. Jake Mosser currently appears in THE AWESOME 80s PROM Off-Broadway and has appeared on Law & Order SVU.

Nick Corley will make his ATF debut as Director of BOMB-ITTY OF ERRORS. Previous Directing credits include the world premieres of THE CIVIL WAR (Alley Theater), LITTLE WOMEN (Duke University) and ELLIOTNESS IN CLEVELAND (Denver Theater Center). As an actor Nick has appeared in A CHRISTMAS CAROL and SHE LOVES ME on Broadway and will appear in MARY POPPINS this fall.

The design team for BOMB-ITTY OF ERRORS is set designer Luke Cantarella, lighting designer Jeff Nellis, costume designer Maiko Matsushima, and sound designer Dan Scheivert.

BOMB-ITTY OF ERRORS will be presented Wednesday to Saturday, July 5 through 15, at 8 PM. Tickets are on sale at the Charles Wood Theater Box Office, and can be requested online at www.ATFestival.org.

As well, for the first time ATF will offer day-of-show student rush tickets for just $9, available to anyone 23 or under with valid ID, subject to availability.
