The Adirondack Theatre Festival will celebrate the third Off Broadway transfer in as many months of a show which premiered at the region’s professional summer theater at a preview performance of MIMI LE DUCK, a new musical comedy, on Friday, October 13 in New York City.

The Adirondack Theatre Festival has presented more than a dozen world premieres in its first twelve seasons of presenting professional summer theater in the Glens Falls/Lake George region, and is gaining a national reputation as a place where new work is developed and supported.  This fall has marked the Off-Broadway openings of three shows which premiered at ATF:  BARABARA’S BLUE KITCHEN which had a limited run at the Lamb’s Theater in Times Square in August, IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING which is currently running at Rattlestick Playwright’s Theater and was called "Zestful and endearing ... full of life" by The NY Times and  "Surprisingly engaging ... winning" by The NY Post, and MIMI LE DUCK which opens in October starring the legendary Eartha Kitt.

ATF will celebrate all three of these shows at a performance of MIMI LE DUCK on October 13. MIMI LE DUCK tells the touching and hilarious story of Miriam, a housewife who leaves her life in Ketchum, Idaho  to start over in bohemian Paris.  The Off-Broadway cast includes Annie Golden (Mimi), Allen Fitzpatrick (Ernest Hemingway), Robert Dusold (Claude) all recreating their roles from ATF as well as the legendary Eartha Kitt as the Parisian chanteuse Madame Vallet.  Members of the creative team include Diana Hansen Young (Bookwriter/Lyricist), Brian Feinstein (Composer), Thomas Caruso (Director), and Chris Fenwick (Musical Director) all of whom were part of ATF’s production at The Charles Wood Theater in Glens Falls.  Tickets to this fundraising event are $40 and include post-show cocktails with members of the cast and creative team in the New World Stages Lounge.

Tickets for this special performance of MIMI LE DUCK are $40 and can be ordered online at www.ATFestival.org or by calling 518-798-7479.  Other ATF off-season events include the 13th Annual Winter Benefit January 19, 2007 and ATF’s Arts-in-Education Program STAGE WRITE in residence at Glens Falls and Warrensburg Schools in March, April, May 2007.  For more information and to join our mailing list go to www.ATFestival.org.
