Stars of ATF’s sold out ART (2001) return for this two actor tour-de-force which was voted Best Comedy in London’s West End where it continues to play.

The Adirondack Theatre Festival’s continues its tenth season with its second offering Stone in His Pockets an Irish comedy by Marie Jones, July 7-17 at the Charles R. Wood Theater in Downtown Glens Falls.

STONES IN HIS POCKETS showcases the talents of Kirk Jackson and Oliver Wadsworth in a two man show that examines the behind the scenes mayhem and makings of a large scale Hollywood movie in a provincial Irish town. In a sidesplitting and chameleon-like fashion, Jackson and Wadsworth play more than fifteen eccentric characters from the spoiled American starlet to the star-struck locals. Mr. Jackson has been seen in productions On and Off-Broadway and is currently teaching at Bennington College. Mr. Wadsworth starred in Capital Repertory Theater’s production of FULLY COMMITTED in 2002 and has been seen in the Obie award-winning WALLY’S GHOST at Soho Rep., as well as Lisa Kron’s recent play WELL at the Public Theater and THE EMMA GOLDMAN PROJECT at New York Theatre Workshop. Both actors have performed together in such shows as ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD and THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEMP.

Jerry Manning directs STONES IN HIS POCKETS. Manning, whose previous work has showcased at Seattle Rep, New York Theatre Workshop and Yale University, makes his ATF directing debut this 2004 season. Mr. Manning has been a Site Reporter for the National Endowment of the Arts since 1996 and currently serves as the Associate Artistic Director for the Seattle Repertory Theatre.  STONES IN HIS POCKETS also marks the debut of two Glens Falls natives in the Charles R. Wood Theater:  Jason Kantrowitz, Lighting Design and James Noone Scenic Design. Mr. Kantrowitz recent designs include Broadway’s Radio City Christmas Spectacular and Starmites. Previously, Mr. Klein has designed costumes for regional theatres including Syracuse Stage, Capital Repertory Theatre, and Geva Theatre. Mr. Klein has also ATF created costumes for Busta Rhymes, P Diddy, Missy Elliot, Macy Grey, and Ricky Martin’s dancers for the 1999 MTV awards.
