ADIRONDACK
THEATRE FESTIVAL ORGANIZES
"ATF NIGHT" FOR PERFORMANCE OF COMEDY
FULLY
COMMITTED
AT
ALBANY
'S
CAPITAL REP, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4.
ATF'S MARTHA BANTA TO DIRECT
PRODUCTION OF PLAY WHICH PREMIERED AT ATF IN 1998.
Audiences of the Adirondack
Theatre Festival who missed the world premiere of the Off-Broadway hit
comedy FULLY COMMITTED in 1998 or just want to see it again will have an
opportunity on Wednesday, December 4.
ATF has arranged for the best seats in the house for an "ATF
Night" at Capital Repertory Theater's production of FULLY COMMITTED
at
7:30pm
on Wednesday, December 4. Tickets
are $25 each and may be ordered by calling ATF at
798-7479. A pre-show
dinner package at Victory Cafe across the street from the theater is also
available for an additional $20/person.
Capital
Rep's production of this comedy about a harried reservation manager at an
upscale
Manhattan
restaurant will be directed by ATF's Artistic Director Martha Banta.
"I'm so excited to be directing this show at Capital Rep"
says Banta. "So many of
our ATF audience have said how upset they were to miss the five
performances we did of this comedy for its world premiere in 1998.
As Artistic Director of ATF I was a part of the development of
FULLY COMMITTED from a reading in Mark Setlock's (the original star of the
show) apartment to our production in 1998.
After that it went on to an eighteen-month run off-Broadway and is
now being done at hundreds of theaters around the country.
It's kind of great to be involved in a play so early on, and now
again at a later stage in its journey."
Besides directing ten productions at ATF in its first eight
seasons, Banta has also directed at regional theaters including Portland
Stage and Cincinnati Playhouse and The Julliard School in
New
York
where she is currently directing. She is also currently the Resident
Director of the Broadway and touring companies of the musical MAMMA MIA.
"ATF
Night" at Capital Rep is not a fundraiser but is a casual opportunity
for audiences of Glens Falls' eight year old professional summer theater
to celebrate its significant contribution to the national theater scene
with the development of FULLY COMMITTED.
Tickets can be purchased by calling ATF at 518-798-7479
or for more information go to www.ATFestival.org.
Tickets are $25 for the show, and audiences may also join Martha
Banta, David Turner and other ATF supporters at dinner before the show at
Victory Cafe for an additional $20.
