Benefit on JANUARY 11, 2003 at 7pm continues the tradition of an annual event bringing Broadway performers to the North Country .  This ALWAYS SOLD OUT evening has featured some of Downtown Glens Falls’ unique buildings in years past, and 2003 will be no exception with food, drink, live music, and silent auction on the third floor of the B.B. Fowler Building (Aimie’s Dinner & Movie) followed by a live show across the street at Tilley’s Nightclub.

The Adirondack Theatre Festival’s Annual Benefit will again bring the best in Broadway talent to the North Country for a unique one-night fundraiser on Saturday, January 11, 2003 .  Following in ATF’s tradition of unusual spaces such as an empty Woolworths, backstage at Adirondack Scenic, Inc., and last year’s sold-out event at Union Square on Broad Street., SATURDAY IN THE 70s will take place in two adjacent locations that many local residents may not have experienced: the top floor of the B.B. Fowler Building and the dance floor of Tilley’s Nightclub.  The fundraiser will begin with a food and cocktail period in the vacant top floor of the B.B. Fowler Building , with live music from the jazz trio Chris Reed & Friends.  Also taking place during this time is our annual Critics Choice auction including such items as a walk-on in a Broadway show, tickets to area and Broadway shows including HAIRSPRAY, THE PRODUCERS, LION KING, and MAMMA MIA, and shows at Proctor’s, SPAC, and other area venues.  Food and drink will be provided by Aimie’s Dinner & Movie, Davidson Brothers Restaurant & Brewery, The Montcalm Restaurant and others.

SATURDAY IN THE 70’s entertainment will be a show “Broadway in the 70s”, performed on the dance floor of Tilley’s, a downtown Glens Falls nightclub located across the street from the BB Fowler Building, where the evening will conclude.  Performers will include Jeff Williams who performed in the Broadway company of THE MUSIC MAN and played Lloyd in ATF’s hit musical GUYS ON ICE last summer.  Other performers will be announced shortly – check www.ATFestival.org for updated casting information.

The Festival is also currently selling $10 raffle tickets for those who cannot attend the event but want to support the 2003 season.  A cash prizes of $1000 will be awarded at the event.
