The Adirondack Theatre Festival’s annual Winter Benefit bringing the best in Broadway talent to the North Country for a one-night fundraiser on Saturday, March 18 2000 has sold out it's 8pm performance and added a 5pm performance. "We've spoken to all of the actors, and they're willing to start rehearsing earlier on Saturday to allow for a 5pm performance" says ATF Artistic Director Martha Banta who will be co-directing the evening with ATF founder Gilles Chiasson. "We anticipated brisk sales because our Benefit is on a Saturday night for the first time, but they really went fast!".

A BROADWAY HYDE-AWAY will take place in the intimate setting of The Hyde Collection's auditorium. As previously announced, performers will include Matt Bogart (THE CIVIL WAR, SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE, MISS SAIGON), Bill Bowers (THE LION KING), Kristine Fraelich (JOSEPH & THE TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, THE CIVIL WAR), and Anthony Goldie (The Who's TOMMY, THE CIVIL WAR). (performers subject to change) The Hyde Collection is located at 161 Warren St. in Glens Falls.

Benefit on March 18, 2000 at 5 and 8pm (8pm is sold out) continues the tradition of this annual sold-out event which brings Broadway performers to the North Country for one night only. This year the region's newest cultural attraction joins forces with one of the oldest for an evening at Glens Falls' historic Hyde Collection, with a post-show champagne reception with the cast in the dramatic setting of the Hyde's historic galleries.

The Festival will be presenting the Winter Benefit in Glens Falls for the first time to take advantage of the synergy created by so many dynamic cultural attractions in the City. "We are really excited by the potential of all the area's arts organizations working together" says ATF Producing Director David Turner "and by doing an event there we may attract some new audience members to the Festival. The Hyde's Board and director Randy Suffolk have been really receptive, and we hope that it's the first of more future collaborations between our organizations.

The added performance of A BROADWAY HYDE-AWAY will take place Saturday, March 18 2000 at 5:00pm. All seats for this performance are $45. Tickets may be ordered by calling 518-798-7479 or mailing check, money order, or VISA/MC number (with exp date) to ATF at PO Box 3203, Glens Falls, NY 12801.
