The Adirondack Theatre Festival’s professional internship program offers intense, hands on educational opportunities for current students and early career professionals seeking an introduction to careers in the professional theatre. Our goal is to provide interns with practical experience as well as valuable networking opportunities with working theatre professionals.
ATF offers a part-time General Internship during the Winter/Spring months (January – April/May). The schedule is negotiable based upon the availability of each individual. A minimum of 10hrs per week is expected. Interns will work directly with the Producing Artistic Director and Managing Director to support efforts in marketing, audience development, community engagement, and fundraising. Tasks will be both clerical and creative. Specific tasks include:
- Social Media Management
- Subscriber Renewal Calls
- Data Entry of Donor Information
- Assist with Mailings
- Benefit Planning & Execution
- Help Prepare and Plan for the Summer Season
- Assist with the Summer Intern Selection Process
Please note that this is a representative list. At ATF we believe that everyone must pitch in wherever necessary to help the organization succeed. This internship is suitable not only for those interested in the business side of the arts, but also any non-profit administration career path.
This is a volunteer position. ATF is able to provide any necessary documentation for college credit arranged by the student/intern.
