Queens Girl: Black in the Green Mountains

A One-Woman Play

July 31 - August 6

By Caleen Sinnette Jennings

Directed by Danielle A. Drakes

Revisit the 1960’s and 1970’s: bell-bottoms, James Brown, LBJ, MLK, free love, civil rights, anti-war, sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll! It all comes together at Bennington College for Jackie, a college student who travels from Nigeria to Vermont on a kaleidoscopic journey through the counterculture movement. Award-winning actor Deidre Staples plays over 15 unforgettable characters in a witty, wise one-woman show about exploring far-out places to find yourself.
